Welcome Spark Friends!

I have been active on SP for over a month and love it! Some of you have asked me to include more about myself, I am hoping that my blog will fill you in!

Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -- Marianne Williamson

Running in the Rain

It is almost unbelieveable but I just finished a run in the rain. That's not suppose to happen in January here in Northern New Brunswick. The clouds were overcast as I left the house for my run but less than 5 minutes into my run the rain drops started to fall. Do I continue my run? I looked up to the skies they didn't look forboding, so what the heck go for it. The rain then of course started to come down heavier making me unsure of my choice to continue, again my heart said --what the heck go for it. Besides I wanted to give myself my star on the fridge calander for running. No run = no star. I reminded myself of my commitment- SAY IT>>>MEAN IT>>>DO IT!!!!

What are you thinking???

Pay attention to your thoughts. I have lost years of my life because I believed my negative thoughts. Each time we believe the negative it grows in power over us. The good news is that Positive thinking works the same each time we silence the negative and replace it with a positive thought we are getting stronger and healthier. Go ahead and believe in all good things.
The body is a servant of the mind. It obeys the mind and its thoughts whether they are deliberate or habitual. Disease or health finds their roots in our thoughts.
Are you having trouble getting rid of the I can't do it, I am worthless, nobody cares..... I have found reading Norman Vincent Peale books of great value. I love that he relies on scripture to teach us how to become positive thinkers.

As a man thinketh so is he.
